The Bunny and the colorful eggs

Friday, April 14th, 2006

It’s Easter on Sunday, bitches. Easter is here on Sunday and I want to give a shout out to JC. JC is in the hizzy. Not only is Easter the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I can eat until I explode. I’m not trying to take away from the resurrection of Christ but I simply like to eat. JC would have wanted it that way.

“Easter is the greatest of all the feasts in the Christian year.” Not only that, Easter marks the end of the season of Lent. We can eat meat on Fridays again; I did anyways but now it’s acceptable. Easter is day of rejoicing and celebration for Jesus showing the world that he was our savior and he then walked the Earth for forty days before ascending into Heaven. Good story, right? Easter is a time for fellowship and the reunion of families. Let’s make this Easter special.

I did some homework and found out that the Bunny and the colorful eggs we have all grown to love do mean something. The bunny, interesting enough, is the most the fertile animal so it symbolizes abundance. Abundance? Well, the abundance of food, repentance, spiritual enlightenment, and finally the fellowship of family and friends. Wow, that is profound. The eggs symbolize fertility and the Emblem of Life. Fertility is simply the ability to sustain abundance. Simple right? The Emblem of Life is that of Christ and his resurrection. He saved us all from Judgment Day, this time. Lastly, the coloring does symbolize the colorful sunlight of spring. You know all that moisture in the air refracting rays of sunlight giving everything a colorful aura.

We can all learn a little from Easter. Give your buddy a hug now. It’s the Emblem of Life, people.

Until next time…Happy Easter, everybody.

Away

Friday, April 14th, 2006

Yes, Meat Friday is away. Tonight, we are getting back to Meat Friday basics. We are leaving the ladies at home. The foundation of Meat Friday was for the men. We get together drink beers, play video games, eat meat, and do stupid shit. It is simply a guys night out.

Anyways, Meat Friday is going to be at Joel and Ed’s place tonight. We don not have anything planned. We are going to get together and have good times. I can not even describe the menu. I will update everyone next week on the goings on at Joel and Ed’s place

Homelessness is a problem but I’m not the cure

Thursday, April 6th, 2006

It’s Thursday and I’m feeling good today. The weather could be nicer but summer is around the corner. I had surgery on my neck this week and that is going as expected, painful. The procedure was simple, no pain, and very little blood. As a result, I thought to myself. I don’t need any painkillers, like Motrin or Tylenol. I’m the man. Yeah right, that didn’t happen. After the Novocain wore off, I wanted to fall down the stairs because my neck hurt so badly. Luckily, Amy had some pills to give to me.

Anyways, that is healing nicely. The summer is stead ahead and I’m excited to get outside and enjoy my mini backyard. I have a lot of work to do both inside and outside of my house. I’m still not sure how I’m going to get it all done. I guess it just takes time. I need to get focused and just dig into the work. Maybe I can hire some helping hands. I will pay with meat and beer. No money will be exchanged. Please email me if you want to help. Also, I will not be paying strangers meat and beer. Only people I know. I understand homelessness is a problem in the U.S. but I’m not the cure.

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to see the Phillies take on the Boston Red Sox. It was the first time I was at Citizens Bank Park. It is really nice. It is a lot nicer then I expected since the last game I saw in Philly was at the Veterans Stadium. The Vet was wore out. My funniest experience at the Vet though, was seeing a man piss on the side of the stadium. In broad daylight, he was pissing and not a care in the world. He didn’t care. He probably won the tickets in a Prison Barber Raffle.

I have to say the Phillies looked good. It was an exhibition game but they still shut out the Red Sox. Ryan Howard, first base, had a good game. The decision to trade Jim Thome and keep Howard may pay off for the Phillies. Only time will tell.

Well, that all I got. …Until next time.
