Quirks
Thursday, October 27th, 2005The puppy dream has been shot down. It seems that our dog is too aggressive for the puppy we wanted to adopt. It is a shame because that dog was pretty cool.
This got me thinking about quirks. You would think something as simple as a dog relationship would be easy to start. Some dogs just don’t like other dogs. It is quirky how this happens. The quirks of humanity are even more interesting because of the brain capacity of humans. Some people just do not like certain people. Interesting stuff, right?
We could even consider the quirks of humanity. Does this cause people to not like another? The other thing to consider is what are these quirks? Is it like a bug in computer programming code? I just don’t know. Some of them are funny though. I use to know a guy who would only brush his teeth on weekends. You may say it is laziness but he generally was not lazy. He was a weird guy.
Have you ever noticed how people rely on time? Everything must be timed. For example, that person might say “we have to leave in two minutes or I have to be home by 9:00pm.â€
I hate when there is tooth paste in the sink.
Some people do not like to drink beer out of a can or bottle. They have to drink it out of a glass. They must think the beer tastes better in a glass but I know that they must see what they are drinking. Is everyone reading familiar with the ole’ rat in the Pepsi trick?
Maybe our quirks are fears and we just don’t know it. We all call them pet peeves but are we afraid of something? Maybe it is a lack of commitment or fear of driving at night. Who knows? I just think is interesting.
My dog was afraid to hand over all of the attention to another dog. Can you blame her?
Anyways, I haven’t posted in a week or so. It feels like forever. The Halloween party is approaching. It will be good times. For those of you, who are attending, make sure you are in costume. We will be handing our prizes for the best costume. It will be a secret ballot. I also have some games in store that should be fun. We will be having the obvious beer games, too.
Also, over the weekend I went to the Lehigh Valley Brewfest at the State Theatre in Easton. Basically it was a buffet of microbrew samples. Vendors gave out food and beer samples to the attendees. I had a lot of fun and beer. In fact, some of the beer was actually good. I suggest the brewery in New Jersey called Cricket Hill. Their beer was very good.
Stay tuned for new videos and photos from Holla’ Ween. Safe weekend.
