I love EBay

Monday, August 29th, 2005

Another weekend has come and gone.  What a shame.  I helped Joel and Eduardo move on Sunday.  It was not a good day to move especially since it poured rain all day until we were done moving.

Anyways, I have mentioned the Halloween at our house.  I’m scheduling it for October 29th.  If you get an invitation, you should feel special.  I’m sure most of you know whether you will get one or not.

Moving on, I learned a big lesson on Friday.  Always read the description of items on EBay before bidding on them.  Consider the setting; I’m upset that the Jeff’s sign up for the Eagles game is over.  We missed it.  I then called Ticketmaster to hear that all Philadelphia Eagles regular season tickets are sold out.  Then I went to EBay.  I saw two Club Box seats for $175.00.  I thought wow that seems like a good deal.  Club Box and shit…  I proceeded to bid $180.00.  Okay, now I’m the highest bidder.  Good deal and only 1 hour and 46 minutes left on the auction.  I thought I might actually have a chance to get these tickets.

Yeah I had a big chance alright.  Little did I realize the tickets were for the same day.  Eagles vs. Bengals preseason game on August 26th.  Basically the auction would have been over roughly an hour before the game started.  I’m an idiot.  Thankfully I was able to recall my bid and wasn’t out $180.00.

I love EBay.  Again, always read the item description before bidding.  Don’t make the same mistake.

New video soon.

Buy Moment with Will t-shirts

Wednesday, August 24th, 2005

Yes, it’s Wednesday and I’m writing. I’m excited that I have some time to kill and post something. The weekend was a blur because it went by so fast. As I get older the weekends get shorter and shorter.

We are rolling up on the moving date. Remember September 3rd so if anyone wants to help please feel free to let me know. Not that anyone wants to help but refreshments and food will be provided.

For those of you who have not seen the link for MWW Products, please check it out. I thought it would be cool to sell t-shirts of things related to the Moment with Will. You know stupid sayings or events. Check it out. Order as much as you want. You can find the link on the side of the page. Here is the link if you can’t find it. http://www.cafepress.com/momentwithwill

Depending on how well the shop does I may consider paying for the Premium Shop which would allow me to offer more variety like different color t-shirts and other products that I can not offer now. Again, please have a look and order what you want. The selection is limited but I will rotate different shirts from time to time.

My personal favorite is the Forty Night baseball shirt for only $19.99.

Check it out.

Good times at the Blue Valley

Saturday, August 20th, 2005

Karaoke tonight at the Blue Valley Lanes in Wind Gap, be there or be square.  I’m a little scared.  I don’t really hangout in Wind Gap.  I think I went to Wind Gap once to work.  It was a hell of a time.  You know I do feel weird going to a bowling alley to do karaoke.  That is just weird.  It could be good times.  I don’t know.  I will keep everyone well informed of the occasion.

Everyone keeps asking me if I’m going to sing.  I’m not that damn good.  I sound like a frog when I sing.  I’m also tone deaf, I think.  I will only sing if they have Ziggy Stardust.  That is the only song I know all of the words.  â€œZiggy played guitar, jamming good with Weird and Gilly and the Spiders from Mars…”  Good right?  I’m da bomb.

Anyways, if anyone wants to join the masses at Blue Valley Lanes please feel free and show up.  Check out their website for the address.  http://www.cs.uofs.edu/~arc3s/Blue%20Valley.htm

I hope to see a large turn out tonight at the Blue Valley.

Until next time, I gotta go poo.

Blogger for Word

Friday, August 19th, 2005

The developers at Blogger have announced a new add-in for Microsoft Word.  It requires Windows 2000 or higher and Microsoft Word 2000 or higher.  Blogger for Word is awesome.  Everyone should download it and use.  You simply type like you would in Microsoft Word and the Blogger for Word places a toolbar in Word that allows you to publish or edit posts.  It’s cool.  You can download it for free.  Here is the link.  http://buzz.blogger.com/bloggerforword.html

Friday finally

I’m getting my freak on. Posted by Picasa

I’ve had a rough week. I’ve had a cold, learning a new job, and some other stuff that I shouldn’t mention. Anyways, my sister and I have planned a surprise dinner for my parents on Sunday. It is their 30th Wedding Anniversary. I hope they are suprised.

The weekend is here and I’m ready to drink some beers. I wish I could post more then once a week. I’ve been busy. Shawn says he is busy all the time and nobody gives him flack.

I was thinking the other day that it would be great to have a big Halloween at our new house. That would give us just enough time to settle in and do some painting and shit. We could have a big costume celebration and bob for apples and shit. I was thinking I could invite Mr. Weiner. He doesn’t get out much, you know. We could dance the night away in uncomfortable costumes until they fall off.

Later that Day….

I really need a beer after all the problems I had to deal with in the last few hours. Problem here, problem there. When is going to stop? I’m so glad it is Friday.

Gotta go.

Peace out.

Finally, the weekend is here

Friday, August 12th, 2005

Before I talk about the weekend I want to wish Monica a Happy Birthday. Try not to stink when we go out tonight. I going to give you one of Will’s special birthday gifts. I know you are excited.

Anyways, The weekend is here. I feel good about working a full week and going into the weekend. I have a little more money in my pocket and I might even be able to take the wife out for dinner or something this weekend. I’m thinking Waffle House but I’m sure she is thinking Red Lobster or something expensive.

Moving day is almost here so let me know if you want to lend a helping hand. Amy and I will be moving Labor Day Weekend. I believe Saturday, September 3rd. We will be providing refreshments and maybe food if we move the grill. Send me an email if you are interested.

Moving on, I was reading the Shawn Report about Walking Out. He was referring to T.O. walking out. I watched an interview on ESPN and he seemed sincere saying that Andy Reid misquoted him. I have to agree with Shawn and trade him. He maybe sincere but it is difficult to work with him. He mentioned that he risked his life for the team by playing in the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl was all about him, the doctors told him not to play. He made a big stink and they cleared him. He makes it sound like he is so dedicated but he could care less about the team. He simply wants the money. What would have been best for the team would have been to not play in the Super Bowl and not risk more serious injury. I realize the Super Bowl is a big deal but the consistency of a team is also important. Tampa Bay for example wins Super Bowl XXXVII and the next year they finish 7-9. I understand that losing players and injuries and thwart a team but again consistency is important.

Like i was saying, thankfully he was not hurt more seriously. Not that I care but the Eagles are the NFC at least for the time being. I’m sure this season the it will work out a little different. My best guess is that the Eagles will fight for the Wild Card.

I think I wrote enough. Weekends rule and the NHL is lame.

Happy days are here again

Thursday, August 11th, 2005

I was experiencing some technical difficulties. I thought all of the old blogs were gone but it’s a good thing I made a backup copy of all of the posts. I had to repost all of them but it was worth it. The picture problem will be fixed within a few days.

Anyways, I rented Madden 2006 and I’m not that impressed. I think NCAA 2006 is much better. The gameplay is much better. The graphics are better. Also, the game doesn’t show a stupid bar on the top of the screen during a game. That is annoying. That is what I hate about watching football on TV. The developers added a few new features like the QB Precision and the Superstar Mode. Those are not bad but the game overall looks the same and the only thing different are camera angles during the games replay and helmets might come off during a game. I may have to go with my original theory on Madden and buy it every other year. Please comment for those who have played. I would like to hear other opinions. Maybe I’m a little off base.

SteckelStock 2005

Flip Cup. Posted by Picasa

SteckelStock 2005 was good times. Although, I’m sure that everyone is still patiently waiting for WillStock. I just made that up. C. Steckel did a nice job organizing the party. Trish, I’m sorry I hit you with the Frisbee. I’m an asshole. Thanks again to the both of you for having us over.

Anyways, I had a great time and I have to thank Strayer for the lovely photo of Flip Cup but I do have to apologize to Monica again. I’m sorry if you were hurt. I would be more then happy to rub salve on your wounds especially the one on your bum.I have to say though that the amount of people was lower then the last SteckelStock but it didn’t matter. We all had fun and played games. I passsed out on the lawn like always. My damn air mattress deflated and Amy went inside and slept on the couch. She left me outside and now my back is really hurting. I don’t like her. I cannot wait for SteckelStock next year.

I did videotape some of the festivities but my camcorder doesn’t have a light so the footage at night will be very dark. I haven’t looked at my pictures but I’m sure they are good. Also, Miles and I were talking about dumb catchphrases. We were playing Beer Pong and we would say stupid catchphrases to each other motivate ourselves.

Here is the list so far:

  1. Take it to the limit
  2. Step it up
  3. No retreat, no surrender
  4. Lets get it goin’

I can’t remember anymore but it seemed like we had more phrases at the time. Maybe Miles can comment on that. Feel free to comment on that list. We could always use more stupid catchphrases.

I’ve got to work now.

Peace out.
