25 Shuffle

You are all probably wondering what the title of this new posts means. What does it mean? Well it means that Shawn and I are lame. We are sitting at the Holy Family Club in Nazareth and I think of this great game to play with three quarters and one ordinary table. Our friend John is wondering why how he can get in on the action.

Oh yeah, the 25 Shuffle action.Let me explain the game. Here is the list of things you need to play:

1. One quarter for each player
2. A ruler or some other measuring device that everyone can agree on. We used two dimes and nickel
3. Table, preferably round but a square one is fine too
4. Beers, lots of beers

Rules:

1. Establish a midpoint on the table
2. Your hands or fingers can not pass over the midpoint during your push
3. If the midpoint is passed you lose your turn
4. Player with the next birthday goes first to start off the game
5. He/she pushes the quarter to the opposite end of the table
6. Next person goes and so on…
7. The quarter closest to the edge of the table wins the round
8. The next round begins with the person who was the farthest away from the edge of the table giving the winner of the previous round the advantage
9. The losers of the round drink
10. If a player pushes their quarter off the table, it does not count and you lose your turn
11. If everyone pushes their quarter off the table the round is a draw
12. If a quarter is hanging off the edge of the table and does not fall the player is the automatic winner of that round
13. If a winner cannot be determined, a pushing shoot out is done between the players in question, it can be more then two people if need be, and so on until the winner is determined
14. A shoot out should not have to be done but just in case it does happen
15. The winner of the game is the person who wins three rounds in a rowShawn and I should organize a tournament.

You could even play in teams if we wanted to get real sophisticated.
